This Privacy Policy describes how the CAN-View for Tesla mobile application for Android (package name com.mascorp.canviewfortesal) handles information when you install and use it.

1. Summary

The App is a diagnostics companion for compatible vehicles. It communicates with your vehicle through a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter that you pair with your device. Live CAN-related parameters and related data are exchanged between the App and the adapter over that Bluetooth link under your control.

To use the App, you may sign in with a MASCorp Diagnostics account. For that primary sign-in, the App sends your account credentials to MASCorp authentication servers over the internet.

If you use optional CAN-View cloud features (for example browsing or downloading CAN profile and related assets offered in-app), the App uses your same credentials with MASCorp’s HTTPS CAN-View services on mascorpdiagnostics.com to obtain an access token and download files you request.

This App does not implement Google Play in-app billing. There are no in-app purchases processed through Google Play Billing within this package.

If you enable credential retention in the App, your email and password may be stored in private application storage on the device (Android SharedPreferences).

Diagnostic data from the vehicle is processed on your device for display. The App is not designed to upload full vehicle diagnostic streams or logs to MASCorp servers as part of normal live viewing. Optional downloads you initiate (such as profile or dictionary assets) are retrieved over HTTPS to your device.

Third parties such as Bluetooth stacks, operating systems, networks, VPNs, or security tools may process traffic or metadata independently.

If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the App.

2. Information the App Processes

2.1 Account authentication over the internet

When you sign in to use the App, the App sends your email address and password to MASCorp-operated authentication services as configured in the application. Depending on server configuration, that connection may use HTTP (not encrypted in transit) or other protocols as deployed. Separately, CAN-View listing and download requests use HTTPS against mascorpdiagnostics.com when you use those features. Server-side processing follows MASCorp backend configuration and applicable terms.

2.2 CAN-View assets over HTTPS

When signed in and when you use in-app flows that contact CAN-View cloud services, the App may call MASCorp HTTPS endpoints on mascorpdiagnostics.com to sign in, list available assets, and download files you select. Downloads are stored locally for use by the App (for example under app-private storage).

2.3 Vehicle communication via Bluetooth OBD-II

The App connects to a Bluetooth OBD-II adapter you choose and pair with your device. Diagnostic requests and responses, including CAN-related parameters supported by your adapter and vehicle, pass between your device and the adapter. This path does not require the vehicle’s Internet connection; it is a local wireless link you initiate.

2.4 Local storage on the device

The App may store the following in private app storage:

Clear app data or uninstall the App before disposing of a device that may contain sensitive information.

3. Permissions

Internet
Used for account authentication, optional CAN-View HTTPS features, and opening web pages (for example profile or registration links) in the system browser when you choose to.

Access network state
Used to determine connectivity when the App uses network features.

Bluetooth
Used to discover, pair with, and communicate with your OBD-II adapter.

4. Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

Processing is based on:

5. Sharing

MASCorp Diagnostics does not sell personal data.

Service providers (such as hosting or networking providers) may process data only as necessary to operate services.

Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. Security

Passwords are sensitive credentials. Do not reuse passwords from other services.

Some configured authentication traffic may use HTTP; such traffic is not encrypted end-to-end in the same way as HTTPS. Use trusted networks and follow good security practice. CAN-View listing and download traffic to mascorpdiagnostics.com uses HTTPS as provided by the service.

7. Retention

On-device data remains until you clear app data or uninstall the App.

Server-side data retention follows MASCorp policies and applicable laws.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

9. Children

The App is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries outside your own with appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

12. United States Privacy Rights

Where applicable, you may have rights under U.S. state laws (such as access, deletion, and opt-out rights).

MASCorp does not sell personal information as defined under these laws.
