This Privacy Policy describes how BLE Remote for Tesla, the Android application with package name com.mascorp.bleremotefortesla, handles information when you install and use it.

BLE Remote for Tesla is a standalone utility that pairs your phone as a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) key for a compatible Tesla vehicle. It is intended for technicians and advanced users who control or monitor a vehicle over a BLE link under their control. Ordinary use does not require a MASCorp account and does not send vehicle commands through MASCorp servers.

If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the App.

1. Summary

No account. The App does not offer registration or sign-in and does not send passwords or credentials to MASCorp or any third-party authentication service.
Bluetooth-first. Core features (pairing, connect, lock/unlock, status, and related controls) work over BLE between your device and the vehicle. That traffic is processed on your device for display and control.
Limited network use. The App declares the Android INTERNET permission so it can open the Privacy Policy link in your system browser when you tap Policy in Settings. The App is not designed to upload live vehicle streams, logs, or BLE payloads to MASCorp during ordinary use, and it does not download profiles or firmware as part of normal operation.
No Google Play in-app purchases in this package.
On-device storage. Vehicle nicknames, VIN, selected model, pairing/setup data, theme preference, and cryptographic key material generated for BLE pairing may be stored in private app storage on your phone.
No sale of personal data. MASCorp Diagnostics does not sell personal data collected through the App.
Third-party systems (Android Bluetooth stack, operating system, device manufacturer, browser when you open the Policy URL, or security software) may process metadata outside MASCorp’s control.

2. Information the App processes

2.1 Bluetooth link to the vehicle

The App uses Android’s Bluetooth APIs to discover and connect to a BLE device you choose (your vehicle). The App or the operating system may show identifiers such as Bluetooth name or address in the user interface. Payloads travel between your phone or tablet and the vehicle over Bluetooth while you use the App.

2.2 On-device processing

BLE traffic is parsed and formatted on the device for display and control. MASCorp does not receive that stream from the App through the App’s own networking features during ordinary use as described in this Policy.

2.3 Storage on the device

The App may store locally, in private app storage:

vehicle profile information you enter (for example nickname, VIN, model);
which vehicle is active when you have more than one;
UI preferences such as light/dark theme;
BLE virtual-key material generated and held on the device (P-256, compatible with vehicle-command style pairing).

The App does not store MASCorp account credentials. You can remove this data by clearing app data or uninstalling the App.

Android backup: The App manifest sets allowBackup="false", so Android Auto Backup is disabled for this App as shipped. Data remains on the device unless you export it through a feature we may add later.

3. Permissions declared in the App

The App declares the permissions below. Android may show a runtime prompt for some of them when you connect or pair.

Permission	Purpose
`BLUETOOTH_CONNECT`	Connect to and communicate with the vehicle over BLE.
`BLUETOOTH_SCAN`	Discover nearby BLE devices when required by Android for pairing and connection.
`BLUETOOTH` / `BLUETOOTH_ADMIN`	Legacy Bluetooth access on older Android versions (`maxSdkVersion` 30 where declared).
`BLUETOOTH_ADVERTISE`	Declared for BLE-related APIs on the device; not used to collect location or to send data to MASCorp in ordinary use.
`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`	Requested because Android requires location permission for BLE scanning on many OS versions, including when used together with `BLUETOOTH_SCAN`. The App uses this only to enable BLE discovery/connection, not to track your geographic location for MASCorp.
`INTERNET`	Open the Privacy Policy URL in your system browser from Settings → Policy. Not used for core BLE vehicle control.

The App does not declare ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. It does not use location permissions to build a location history or to transmit your GPS position to MASCorp.

4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

Where applicable, processing is based on:

Performance of a contract or steps before it (providing the App you requested); and/or
Legitimate interests (operating and securing the App, preventing abuse); and/or
Consent where required (for example runtime Bluetooth or location permissions on supported Android versions).

5. Sharing

MASCorp Diagnostics does not sell personal data.

If you contact us by email or through mascorpdiagnostics.com, routine hosting or email providers may process that communication according to their roles.

Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity.

6. Security

Use reputable hardware and keep your phone and vehicle software up to date.
Do not leave active sessions unattended on shared or unlocked devices.
Because content stays primarily on the device and the Bluetooth link, protect physical access to both.

7. Retention

On device: Information exists while you use the App until you clear app data or uninstall.
Contact with MASCorp: If you email us, we retain messages according to normal business and legal needs.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, or to data portability.

9. Children

The App is not aimed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International transfers

MASCorp may operate or use service providers in countries other than yours. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The Effective date at the top will change when we do. If we introduce material new data practices (for example account login, cloud command routing, or in-app purchases), we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain consent or give notice before those features go live.

12. United States privacy rights

Where U.S. state privacy laws apply, you may have rights such as access, deletion, or opt-out of certain processing. MASCorp does not sell personal information collected through the App for monetary consideration as described in those laws for the data practices stated in this Policy.
